What makes luxury carpets so exceptional?

There are several different factors that distinguish luxury carpets from regular production right off the bat. The first is the method of production – this type of carpet is usually hand made on weaving looms. Another factor is the design, or simply the pattern of the carpet, which may come from well-known designers specialising in this area. Last but not least, it is the material – carpets made of silk, cashmere or flax, for example, are traditionally a luxury assortment.

Of course, all this is reflected in the price. It is natural that individual handwork costs more than large-scale machine production and that you can’t buy pure silk for the same money as synthetic materials. But investing in quality always pays off in the long run.

Honest handmade craftsmanship

The share of manual labour in production is relatively high for luxury carpets – carpets can be woven, tufted, hand-knotted or hand-knitted, but it always involves handmade craftsmanship. The hallmark of these high quality carpets is the emphasis on even the smallest details. It is no exception when the production of one square metre of such a carpet takes 5 to 6 hours.

Design from the workshops of leading designers

Manufacturers of such high-quality carpets are often not satisfied with just traditional shades and patterns, but turn to well-known designers and have a design created specifically for their collections. The number of pieces of such carpets is usually limited, which makes this product range exclusive.

Quality natural material is a bonus

In the category of luxury, or let's rather say quality carpets, natural materials reign supreme. We are talking here, for example, about silk, wool, mohair, flax, cotton... Natural materials also bring with them increased walking comfort – after all, who wouldn't want to walk on soft silk or warm mohair?
