Global Champions Prague PlayOffs is a unique sport event, during which the best parkour riders and horses in the world present themselves at the O2 Arena in Prague. BOCA supplied event carpets for this, which can be uninstalled and used repeatedly thanks to a special installation.
The finale of the Global Champions Prague PlayOffs traditionally takes place in Prague's O2 Arena, and it was no different last autumn. After the outage in 2019 caused by the covid, this year's event took place again, with the participation of the best parkour riders from all over the world, including the Czech ones. The event regularly attracts over 30,000 spectators and millions more watch the event on television and on the Internet.
Our surfaces were used in the backstage of performing sportsmen - in the restaurant and close areas, which serve as meeting and relaxation zones. The architects from the Venclovský architekti chose a disposable Timeless Twister Melange event carpet in emerald green color, which was used for a total of 650 m2.
Due to the expected re-use of the carpet, it was necessary to adapt the installation method.
For this reason, it did not stick to the substrate, but to the double-sided adhesive grid - with this system, the carpet can be used repeatedly. We stored the unistalled flooring in our warehouse after the end of the whole event.
